Bangor Festive Celebrations transformed the city into a Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 6, 2014.
The Bangor Festive Celebrations event organised by The People of Bangor Community Group (TPOBCG) kicked off at 10am with plenty going on in the city centre to entertain the whole family.
There was a jazz band, a funfair, kids crafts, stalls, a hog roast and a nativity scene, there was also the chance to feed live reindeer.
There was music, with the Tryfan Jazz Band, choirs from Ysgol Cae Top and Ysgol y Garnedd and the Tenovus choir all involved.
Santa also be visited the event, children got to tell him their Christmas wishes in a unit at the Deiniol Centre.
A Christmas coffee morning was held at Penrhyn Hall, Bangor, between 10am and 4pm. There was a variety of stalls selling anything from crafts to cosmetics.
All proceeds from the coffee morning went towards 1557 (Friars School) squadron air cadets.
Father Christmas will be a busy bee on the day, as apart from deciding who’s on the nice and naughty list, he also started the Santa Fun Run from the town clock at 3.30pm.
The Santa Fun Run was organised by #teamirfon and people could either jog or stroll down to Beach Road.
A St Nicholas Mass and Christmas Carols was held at Bangor Cathedral in the night, featuring Cantorion Menai, led by Enid Griffiths, and featuring Emma-Calire Crook (soprano); Heather Lowe (mezzo soprano); Jenny Pearson (mezzo soprano); Jeffrey Taylor (tenor); Philip Clieve (baritone); Fay Adamson (organist) and Angharad Jones (harpist).
All in all, it was an extremely busy day Festive celebrations in Bangor, with hundreds if not thousands of people attending during the day.
