Swansea-based tech start-up Veeqo is to launch in the US this year.

The start-up, which provides an inventory management software system to e-commerce businesses, has been establishing a presence in the country over the last few months.

It has already hired a customer success coordinator dedicated to nurturing sales in the States, Richard Kelly, and launched integration with American postal service USPS.

The new integration allows store owners in US to dispatch and send items internationally as well as locally, while benefiting from a 75 per cent discount on postage costs.

Veeqo is one of Wales’s most promising tech start-ups, having raised £700,000 to compensate an expansion to the US in April. It was recently included in Digital 2015’s Digital Dozen.

Matt Warren, founder and CEO of Veeqo, said: “We already have a great deal of customer from all over the United States and due to that high demand we now are expanding the company into the US and will be providing US sales and support on EST time zone. I am really excited about expanding into the US and looking forward to welcoming lots of new customers.”

Investor Dan Mcpherson, from Launcha.com, said: “Veeqo has shown time after time that their platform delivers for customers.

“With this new investment we are expanding across the US, we will be able to work with more fantastic merchants helping them achieve more productive and cost savings. Veeqo is all about helping merchants achieve more in less time and I can’t wait to see lots of new clients working with us.”
