A world record breaking stunt motorcycle team is heading to Mid Wales this summer to thrill the crowd at Llanfyllin Show on Saturday, August 15.

James Dylan’s Stuntworld, the most experienced stunt team in Great Britain, will perform two, action-packed, 30 minute shows that include ramp jumps, wheelies, stoppies and many more breath-taking stunts and comedy routines to keep families entertained.

James has performed stunts all around the world and broken five world records on the way, his exploits having featured on many television shows.

Known as the “friendly show” because of the warm welcome that always awaits visitors, Llanfyllin Show is held at Bodfach Park, by permission of Simon and Maggie Baynes and Janet Jones.

Around 4,000 people attend the show, which opens at 9am and the last event in the main ring is terrier racing at 6pm. Local sheepdog trials are held on the eve and day of the show.

Another highlight is the All Wales Circuit Shearing Final, which brings together the 20 best sheep shearers in Wales in four different classes. Finalists qualify by collecting points from six of nine selected shows across Wales on the sheep shearing circuit.

A fashion show, organised by Jems Dress Agency of Oswestry, will be held in the horticulture marquee and members of Llanfyllin skateboarding group will give a demonstration in the main ring.

There will also be a Village Green children’s entertainment, a  funfair, a Punch and Judy show, trade stands and  classes for horses, sheep, goats, dogs, horticulture, floral art, cookery and needlework.

Show schedules will soon be available from Monday, July 13 and the closing date for entries is August 6, except for the garden competition which closes on July 20. For more information contact show secretary Jill Hollinshead on 01691 828628 or visit the show’s website at www.llanfyllinshow.co.uk.
