Registration for the Always Aim High Events organised Cardiff Triathlon 2017 will open at 12 o’clock noon on Friday, August  19, with the event expected to sell out in record time.

The third Cardiff Triathlon will take place on the weekend of  June 24 and 25, 2017, with the transition and event hub based at the Wales Millennium Centre, at Cardiff Bay. From Friday August 19, 2016, you can be a part of this iconic and high profile sporting event.

The Cardiff Triathlon is an incredible experience in every sense of the word. Starting with a swim in the world famous Cardiff Bay, the triathlon then moves on to a completely closed road cycle and run through the streets surrounding the area.

There are three distances available across the weekend. Two distances will take place on Saturday, June 24; Sprint and Super Sprint. The sprint distance features a 750 metre swim, a 20km cycle and a 5km run, while the popular with beginners Super Sprint consists of a 400 metre swim, 10km cycle and a 2.5km run.

Sunday, June 25, hosts the main event: the Olympic distance triathlon includes a unique 1,500 metre swim, 40km cycle and a 15km run.

Over 1,000 people took part in the Cardiff Triathlon 2016 with over 99.5% of entrants saying they would recommend the spectacular event to others. And with worldwide television coverage taking place across the weekend, this triathlon stands alongside some of the great global city triathlon events.
