Colour Run is coming to Anglesey.

An explosion of colours will greet runners taking part in a charity event in Rhosneigr.

St David’s Hospice is getting ready to launch its first Colour Run and a first for Anglesey too.

Mel Cunningham, St David’s Hospice Community Fundraiser for Anglesey, said: “We’re so excited! This will be unlike any other 5K you have completed before – everyone starts out in white and along the way gets covered from head to toe in colour.

“It is an un-timed race in which hundreds of participants will run, walk, hop, skip, jump or dance to the finish line – The Colour Run is all about having fun while raising money for a wonderful local charity.

“Inspired by the global ‘Colour Run’ craze it is a way celebrate health, happiness, and creativity, while also giving something back to your local community. We plan to bring lots of happiness to Anglesey so don’t miss your chance to be part of it.”

The 5km route along the beach, will be lined with paint stations armed and ready for the participants to pass through and be showered with powder paints.

The paint is 100% natural and eco-friendly. Participants will be encouraged to get messy and have fun, making it the perfect event for all the family. It is St David’s Hospice’ brightest and messiest event yet.

The Colour Run takes place on Rhosneigr, Anglesey at 9.15am on Sunday, May 10. Entry fee is: £15 per adult £10 per child £45 per family of four.
