Following on from huge successes in previous years with Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J, Olly Murs and others, Access All Eirias 2015 will be a one day event, following a special concert by Sir Elton John at Eirias Stadium in his first ever North Wales performance the day before.

The Vamps are a social media phenomenon, the four teenage boys from different areas of the UK hooking up via YouTube. Fifteen million online hits, a quarter of a million YouTube subscribers, and a major label recording deal later and the boys were stars before they released their first single. Singer Bradley Will Simpson, guitarist James McVey, drummer Tristan Evans and bassist Connor Ball have since gone on to record five Top 10 singles, Can We Dance; Wild Heart; Last Night; Somebody To You and Cecilia. They now have 2 sold out arena tours under their belt and Their debut album Meet The Vamps won a Gold disk and reached Number 2 in the charts and the band are well on their way to becoming an international phenomenon.

“YouTube opened all of this for us,” says James from Bournemouth, a Taylor Swift fan and one time acoustic pop solo artist. “It’s not an understatement to say that without it, we wouldn’t be a band. We’ve been able to put our music online without any real trouble and got our videos in front of a big audience. It used to be that bands had to wander around record stores and TV stations begging to have their music heard. We’re very lucky that we have the online thing where we can just put a track on the internet and get an immediate reaction. It’s mind-blowing.”

This is the fourth year of Access All Eirias, produced by Conwy County Borough Council and supported by Principality Building Society in an award winning partnership with Welsh media and events group, Orchard. Cllr Graham Rees, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Tourism, Marketing and Leisure said: “We’re delighted to announce The Vamps will be performing at Access all Eirias this year. This concert will follow hot on the heels of Sir Elton John’s performance in the town, and is another date which will put Eirias firmly on the map for live entertainment in North Wales. These kinds of events, and Eirias stadium itself, are at the heart of Conwy’s Events Strategy, bringing a whole new audience and the associated economic benefits to the County.”

Orchard director, Pablo Janczur said: “We’re delighted to bring Access All Eirias back this summer, and The Vamps will make a great headline attraction for a young audience, complementing the appeal of Sir Elton John the day before. We love working with the team at Conwy, and with the Principality’s support North Wales can look forward to another big summer weekend.”

In addition to staging Sir Elton John on June 6, and The Vamps on June 7, Orchard is also promoting Elvis Costello at Venue Cymru on June 7 as well.

The event is supported by Conwy County Borough Council, Bay of Colwyn Town Council, and media partners Capital FM; Daily Post; and North Wales Weekly News. Access All Eirias is also supported by Principality Building Society, which is supporting the event for the fourth year in a row.

David Critcher, Regional Manager for Principality Building Society’s North Wales region, said: “Access All Eirias will undoubtedly be another fantastic family day out and we are delighted to be supporting this fantastic North Wales event once again. We are proud to be at the heart of our local communities and are committed to supporting them as much as we can. We have no doubt that Access all Eirias, with its fantastic line-up, will help to attract a much wider audience to enjoy this part of the world.”
