Gwynedd’s young savvy consumers celebrate

Congratulations to the pupils of Ysgol y Moelwyn, Blaenau Ffestiniog for becoming this year’s winners of Gwynedd Council’s Trading Standards Young Consumers of the Year 2015 competition.

 

Ysgol y Moelwyn’s pupils came out on top in the Gwynedd competition, winning a competitive quiz which included questions about various subjects about consumer rights and responsibilities, money and finance, safety and the environment.

Following their success in the Gwynedd round, the school will now be representing the county in the national finals in Cardiff.

 

The Young Consumers of the Year is a unique competition, involving hundreds of schools and pupils across the country, who want to be part of the challenge to become the nation’s top Young Consumers of the Year 2015.

 

The four representatives from Ysgol Y Moelwyn who came out on top in the Gwynedd competition and who will represent the county in the all-Wales competition are Elin Roberts, Carwyn Davies, Guto Pryderi Huws and Aron Huw Jones.
