Harlech Rugby Club has securing new sponsorship deal from the award-winning Min-y-Don Holiday Park and caravan, motorhome and campervan dealership Salop Leisure.

The £200 will go towards running the club which plays in the WRU National League Division Two North West. Having secured a top four place in the first half of this season, the club will now join the other top three teams in the division to compete against the top four in the Division Two North East.

Gareth John Williams, club chairman, welcomed the new sponsorship from Min-y-Don Holiday Park and Salop Leisure and said the club was trying to establish a junior section to support its development.

“We are very grateful for the new sponsorship because it takes a lot of money to run a rugby club,” he said. “Having been promoted from Division Three North three years ago, the club is now consolidating and our ambition is to get to Division One.”

Carl Miller, who manages Min-y-Don Holiday Park with his wife, Jayne, said the park now sponsors Harlech’s football and rugby clubs and was keen to play an active role in the local community.

“We bring a lot of tourists to Harlech and would like to work closely with the local community for our mutual benefit,” he added.
