Melody Makers set to stage their latest show

Melody Malers will present A Taste of the Musicals later this month.

HOT on the heels of their successful show, Calamity Jane, the Melody Makers are putting the final touches to their next production.

The amateur dramatics group, based in Benllech, will soon present A Taste of the Musicals – bringing you their favourite numbers from West End shows such as Mamma Mia, Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, Me and my Girl, Oliver and We Will Rock You!

The group’s latest Western, Calamity Jane, was a real winner with the audience and their current show promises to be no exception with show-stopping numbers, fancy footwork, sensational scenery, memorable music, and much more.

The Melody Makers are well known for their lively, colourful shows featuring talented locals from tots to those in their twilight years.

The Melody Makers has been entertaining the people of Anglesey since 1972 and what started out as a small concert party group in order to raise money for a defibrillator for the local doctor has developed into a thriving society today with the company staging fantastic products from pantomimes and variety shows to musicals such as Me & My Girl and Oklahoma whilst fundraising for the community.

The show will be held at the Benllech Community & Ex Servicemen’s Hall from April 22 to 25 starting 7.30pm with doors open from 7pm. Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £6 for children and concessions. Tickets are available now via outlets in Benllech including Egerton Estates and Sole Comfort and via the online store Call 01248 853263 for more details.
