Theatr Bara Caws kicks off their latest show Drwg at Bangor's Pontio.

If you like puppets then Drwg! (Bad!) from Bara Caws, a show based on the local Welsh legend of Rhita the Giant, will be right up your street.

In this alternative version of the fable by Angela Roberts, the story has been adapted and revised to be relevant to children of today.

Includes cockerels, performing goats, a midnight circus – and one singing chimney sweep!

And who was Rhita? Well Rhita was a bully – who enjoyed nothing better than scaring villagers silly and roaring at little children.

The first shows are at Bangor’s Pontio on January 30, at 11am and 2pm. There will be a workshop on making puppets  after both performances.

There will also be shows at Neuadd Ogwen, Bethesda;  Galeri, Caernarfon; Neuadd Dwyfor, Pwllheli; Theatr Twm o’r Nant, Denbigh and many more.

For more details on performances visit theatrbaracaws.com or call 01286 676335.

Children’s tickets also procure a bag of puppet making materials with instructions.

The cast is Iwan Charles, Efa Dyfan and Sioned Wyn and the director is Angela Roberts.

The show is suitable for families and primary school children.
