The Anglesey Sandman Triathlon powered by Suunto takes place at Newborough Forest on September 17 and 18 with closures affecting Newborough Forest car park during this time.

To ensure the safety of the public and to the triathletes, event organisers Always Aim High have issued closures for Newborough Forest car park in partnership with Natural Resources Wales. Llanddwyn beach remains open to the public during this time.

Newborough Forest car park will be closed to the public during the following times: Saturday, September 17 from 06:30 to 13:00.

Sunday, September 18, from 06:30 to 15:00.

Over 1,000 triathletes are expected to descend on Newborough across the weekend to take part in one of the most beautiful sporting events in the UK. The Anglesey Sandman Triathlon has sold out for the last three years, with this year expected to be no different – only a handful of places for 2016 now remain!
