Meirionnydd Record Office, Dolgellau will be open on Saturday, September  12, between 10am and 3pm as part of the national Open Doors events.

Open Doors is organised by Cadw and provides an opportunity to discover more about the history and culture of Wales by welcoming the public to explore a vast array of different historical sites.

There will be an opportunity at Meirionnydd Record Office to view original material and experience a guided tour of the building. It will also be possible to see conservation work, and for children to make artwork based on some of the collection kept at the Record Office.

For more information on the activities please phone (01341) 424 682, and for more information on Open Doors throughout Wales please go to the Cadw website, www.cadw.gov.wales
